Animation practice - Wolf jumping, 30/03/20

Image
The blocking for the exercise was completed and the animation was gone over in the graph editor. This greatly helped to edited and smooth the arcs and momentum that is naturally carried in a jumping motion. Animating a quadruped was definitely something more difficult that required the animation to be watched over and over again before fully understanding it. Reference material was invaluable as with all animation. After using the rig I found that were some serious issues, the biggest being when thorax collapses when the front legs rise. Animation practice - Wolf blocking, 30/03/20

It has been some time since the last post and it has been a strange period. Never the less I had made a start on a wolf animation. This begins with the blocking of the animation using a rig created by Truong Cg Artist. This proved to be a challenge as quadrupeds was something I do not normally animate. While I have theory from university I had yet to apply it within a 3D wold. However it is a challenge I quite enjoy. The facial features, tail and minor controls are yet to be fully animated for this segment. Animation practice - jogging, 13/01/20

Another animation exercise completed within one sitting. Instead of using the 'Moom' rig today I used my WW1 animation rig. This time it consists of a simple jog, however due to an issue in the IK arm controls I was not able to fix the slight pauses in the arms swinging in the graph editor.  reference,  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dmc_4X2SQIY

Animation and posing practice, 23/12/19 - 04/12/19

Image
This post contains a number of 10 minute pose exercises using reference material from the internet. These exercises have been completed with the Moom rig. If smaller details such as the facial expression and hands are not completed within the time limit I use an extra minute to finish the pose. Alongside poses there are also two animations also using the Moom rig.  reference,  https://mausspacearchive.tumblr.com/post/71051795104 reference,  https://thoughtcatalog.com/january-nelson/2018/05/dynamic-action-poses/ reference,  https://best-wallpaper.net/Smile-girl-jump-pose-white-background_wallpapers.html reference,  https://routgveriprt.com/?wmi=60935&lp=24&max=10&clickid=e57c5cc41fa56b77ff94c4b94bf10375-9964-1227# reference,  https://www.pinterest.at/pin/540713498985070098/ reference,  https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/21884748173515244/?lp=true reference,  https://www.yogiapproved.com...
